stops along the journey
what a perfect phrase - "glee-filled, down-hill squeals.." Love the joy-filled pics Brian.
It's so beautiful! And the giggles to go along with the downhill squeals...
Looks like a lot of snow fun ~Nice contrast of hush with squeals ~

Oh, and it's a beautiful snow, too! Love that kinds that hangs on every little twig! It just isn't winter without at least one good snowfall! :)Looks like you'll need to dust off that satellite dish when you're ready to come inside and warm up! :)
I would be squealing in agony if we had that much snow...nice pics;)
Kids and snow--like kids and dogs--- = match made in heaven.

The hush of snow is always better when there are children and young at heart playing in it.

Delightful. We spent part of today the same way. :)
Aww... your boys are adorable and the snow is beautiful... enjoy!
Priceless! (I'm pretty sure that I don't need to add anything more.)
Pictures and poetry are one. Makes me remember being about five and flying down a hill piled onto my brother Jack, squealing as we tipped over into an enormous, icy cold cushion of fluff.
Oh snow... I love the pics of your boys. but, there is something wrong with their hats... I don't think I would let them wear hats with such major flaws. ;P
What fun! And they root for opposite teams - whoa boy.
The serenity of a snowfall, contrasted with yells of delight, I like it.
Winter doesn't keep the kids from having a ball, does it?
oh I'm jealous....just wrote that I want snow again. Can you throw me a cold snow ball , please? (not in my neck though)
Oh, you should have said something, we would have been only too pleased to send you some truck loads of ours! LOLGreat pics and pleased to see you all had such fun. :)
Looks like fun...you all got quite a bit of snow, huh? we just got a dusting here...and it's all gone already.
Sweet and cute boys :)
This was great. Awesome to have real pics that support your writing.
We hee in portland got snow for a min....no more, so bummed. I liked your short here.
How Fun Enjoy :-)
Nothing more fun than to listen to those 'downhill squeals.' I remember them well from my own childhood and my children's. And, hmmm, I did notice a Green Bay Packer hat! Smile. Good taste, Brian.
that's a great moment there, so glad I don't have that snow here right now- go figure right- but looks and sounds like you make the most of it, which you seem to have that knack with everything- a part of your writing that always rings true. But I do have a question though, how were you not able to convince the one boy to be a steelers fan as well- packers are cool and all, but kinda just figured it would be steel curtain all the way there:)
OH! So you got some of that snow I've seen and heard about on the news. Here in NYC my crocus are pushing up.
Beautiful words and boys.
It's always fun to see people having fun... Love it!JJRod'z
I remember those kind of days-- Bliss!Glad you guys had fun. jj
Love the line - "the world has fallen to the hush of snow,". Beautiful.I love to see kids playing in the snow. Such rosy cheeks and big smiles.
Lucky! What we got last weekend was gone within a few days. Supposed to get more but that's immediately followed by rain. This is officially the lamest winter ever in my 20+ years here.
I felt like I was part of the fun here. I can here the silence in the snow, as well as the laughter of the boys (including you).I like the pictures.
We would love to have snow. The squeals and laughter would be fun. Your kids are certainly enjoying every minute of it!Hank
what a beautiful life.
What fun. Oh to be a child on a snowy day.
Perfection - which I've just said on another blog is impossible. Oh dear!
Ahaaa! Sweet. That's what snow's about.
