55 - eating jello bareback

i was writing you
a love poem
about stallions &
riding bareback
but feared
it was getting crass
so i thought of jello
though none
want to think
of love as soft & jiggly
but one day
if we are &
i, a bit crass,
we can still
ride horses together
as the sun sets.

Tell a story in 55 words. Give it a try or just read more, go see g-man.

This so rocks! Your mind is a thing of much wonder and admirable qualities, Brian. And of course love is soft and jiggly -- just as it's meant to be. :)

Love should definitely include Jell-O and stallions. ;)

slommler said...

Love should be soft and see-through, like jello!! Be transparent for one another. True love for sure.
And to ride a horse, you need to be soft...to mold to the horse as she moves forward on the track. Go with the flow!!
Your poems always illicit visual images for me. I love them!

mmmm jello.

the more wiggly and pliable the better.

I think the Jell-O reference was a self-defense mechanism kicking-in, keeping yourself from becoming too vulnerable when writing a love poem.

(That or maybe you were just hungry)

Fun 55, Brian! Have a great weekend!
