i was writing you
a love poem
about stallions &
riding bareback
but feared
it was getting crass
so i thought of jello
though none
want to think
of love as soft & jiggly
but one day
if we are &
i, a bit crass,
we can still
ride horses together
as the sun sets.

And to ride a horse, you need to be soft...to mold to the horse as she moves forward on the track. Go with the flow!!

I think the Jell-O reference was a self-defense mechanism kicking-in, keeping yourself from becoming too vulnerable when writing a love poem.
