i like to bring ice cubes
into the bedroom
to keep cool
once you join me.
it's chemistry...
solid...
liquid...
vapor...
i am envious
of the drip
that slips slow
across your surface.
(your chill bumps
sure are cute.)
wanna see if we can
e v a p o r a t e
together.
(perhaps
we'll make rainbows,
when the sun hits us.)

Since the temp outside right now is 102, ice cubes sound kind of appealing. This is a fun post. Brrr.
Kat
LOL..Brian, you sure know how to start a girl's weekend early. Have a good one!
Super-chill! Way to crank the heat up even in the middle of a heatwave.
Oh, ice cubes! Now there's a thought. *blushes*
Just looked out the window and I'm seeing one giant rainbow Brian!! Hmmmm - even in this heat?
This is waaay toooo hot for me! You need to be writing romance novels my dear man.
it was 113 on the bank clock...figure it was in the sun...but melted a plastic cup in my car...ice cubes was all i could think of...well, almost....
How romantic!... and steamy... or should I say vaporous.Loved it!
like coosville, daddi-o
umm, is it hot in here?
Very nice 55!
What amazing word play!!
"wanna see if we can
e v a p o r a t e
together." Sheer AWESOMENESS, I tell ya!
too 'cool.' perfect for this temp although sounds a little steamy....
You just gave me an idea...
Rock on cube man!
You've been quite the busy one lately, haven't you? ;)
Your wife must be awesome if you can still think of sex in this heat...even with ice cubes...Or maybe we're just over the hill in this house!
Oooo!! Hubba hubba!!!
Hugs
SueAnn
Too cool and too hot at the same time as only you can do it. (55 must be the perfect number, someone did his homework).
Brian, thank you for your comment. It means a lot to my blogging journey.
You are giving me some good ideas, thanks. It isn't that hot outside here but I am liking the ice cube thing anyway.
Oh my gosh Brian I can so relate to this. I hate to call what I have a bad habit or a lack of iron in my system, as it is noted by some doctors that if one craves ice they are animic (sp), but I cannot get enough of ice. I chew it or suck it through out the day at work and when I get home I have more of it. It can be freezing outside, and I will still chew ice. Thanks for the post by the way! Blessings.
thats what i like to hear techno...bringing husbands and wives closer together one ice cube at a time...smiles.
ice cubes...hmmmm. Popsicles work too, yummy.
I must be in an "Aw, that's sweet" kind of mood because I just came from Titanium's with that feeling and now I've got it here, too. I should be saying "hot" but I'm afraid you're stuck with "sweet" from me.
Appropriate for this weather. Great job.
PG-13....
Most excellent seasonal 55.
What I mean by seasonal is HOT and STEAMY!!!!
This was one of my favorites from you Son...Terrific!
Thanks for getting all the women revved up, and have a Kick Ass Week-End...G
Oh my!! Now that was far from being chilly because it was way too steamy.
Brrriliant!!!
Daniel called you the cube man & I am gonna call you the ice-man!!
Now you better go refill the ice cube trays!! You just never know when your gonna need to cool down!! or should that be steam up???
Now, Brian....Please allow this observation: You can hardly fault some bedazzled female out there for "stalking" you if you continue to steam up her glasses like this. Such is the fate of writers and lovers. :)
That is just too sexy! hoo hoo hot stuff!
ICE CUBES!!!!! I feel a story comming on, but I'll save it for fetish...lol
always great my friend.
Oh so clever...it's been that hot here, too! ha.
Boy....gonna need a lot of ice cubes for this one. lol :) Have fun. :)Tooooo hot.
Hi Brian,
I just want to warn you that if you keep this up then you are surely going to get that little girl that you want. I mean just look at all the big girl's you are getting all heated up and then cooling down. You have us all melting with envy for T, wishing our men were even half as romantic. I hope all the men who read your writings are writing or telling similar things to the women in their lives. Are you sure you are not Don Juan reincarnated? I at least think you are somehow related to him. Yup, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Your new name is Don Juan Brianos de WayStationista. The purveyor of romance amongst the men of Planeteria, from henceforth all shall bow to the knowledge secretly and freely passed on to all males who have the sense to know that a happy mate makes for a happy life. Where upon all this knowledge will be etched in stone (otherwise known as bloggyworld) for safekeeping for the future generations of the males on Planetista, who are henceforth decreed to guard this knowledge with the utmost care.
God bless.
I actually hate the feel of being wet. I am not a fan of getting wet. Give me an air conditioner! LOL
Wowsa...somehow you just made hot even hotter. ha
Brilliant combination of elements.
states of matter recycling ? :) That is a real novel way of looking at love making!
Do you know that fourth state of matter is plasma?
very nice....looking forward to reading the rest of this site
You just like to see what happens when your wife gets cold - *wink*
Va-va-va-voom!
I can relate to that; in our summers the heat can be unbearable! But it's winter here now - so don't you dare bring an ice block near me *shivers*!
Hmmm...I was pretty sure I knew where you were going when I saw the title and you didn't disappoint. Hot stuff...great job! :)
-C
I love the idea of getting cooled down just to get heated up again - I can see there being a need for more and more ice cubes - lol!
I liked the playfulness of this poem, Brian.
Wow, top points for the conclusion, Brian. Evaporating together and making a rainbow when the sun hits - what imagery!
But you know, I'll pass on the ice cubes, being winter here 'n' all. I had to scrape the ice off my car this morning...
bow chicka wow wow :)
A strange yet lovely combination of chemistry and literature. Whoever said that sciences and humanities cannot com together! What a nice way to do a 55! And the comments, by Jove. Sometimes I wonder it is the post or the comments?
Have a splendid weekend, Brian.
Joy and peace,
Susan
Doesn't everyone take ice cubes to bed.....to keep cool of course.
.......:-) Hugs
Very nice...I think you need to write a man's guide to romance or something like that...lol. Most men could learn a lot from you :)
glad to see that you are dealing with the heat..great work!! happy friday!
I believe this is the most fun and romantic invitation I have ever heard a man offer his wife.
Love it! Steamy and cool! Way to turn up the charm!
Sizzling words!
this is brilliant!
Mrsupole has you pegged. LMAO
Brian, you reeeely know how to heat it up--and with ice cubes yet!
Mine is HERE
Sounds like you're on your way to sainthood, Brian.
Steamy Brian :)
I've done mine, but lost my Google password, so I can't get onto GMan's blog.
It is hot!
Ice cubes melt though!

Nuts in May

Well thanks a bunch, I now have the Kim Basinger ice cube scene from 9 and a half weeks bouncing around my head as I try and work this morning!
Gone for romantic tragedy today. Click here to read my 55 story.
That is adorable. Rainbows...
too cute. Mine is up too.
Oh, the passion :-)
Nice one.
Wow! Amazing! Loved this one! May ask if I can borrow it for a valentine card!
This is the second one I have read - hmm mine seems rather tongue in cheek now but hey ho variety and all that eh!
Have a good day!
Is it just me, or are you getting better still? You were always good but you are now cornering the market on very good.
Steamiest 55 I've read yet today... feeling a few sweat beads here, giggle.
Can you believe were out of ice cubes, I just put 4 trays in so I should be ready for the weekend. sizzling Brian.
Brian, it is so hot in our place that not even ice cubes could help ... (and your post makes it even hotter ;-) lol)
Love it - chill-i
...solid...liquid...vapor...going through all the different states - wow!
And the last sentence with the rainbow is just soooo romantic *sigh*
I wrote a 55 as well this week :)

So so beautiful and somewhat cooling...;) good one Brian
i'm thinking those ice cubes melted right away in quick order. steamy!
Hmmmmm....I wonder how many people are going to be thinking about "ice cubes" today?!
oh my goodness, I think I'm blushing. :);
xo
Oh My!!!:))
Putting this one in the "Need to try" file for future use. ;-D
♥namaste♥
oh the power of the cube...
*sigh*
Very senuous and subtle... ish
trying for a girl ;)
The iceman cometh? If I tried that at home, I think my wife would give me 55 whuppings upside my head.
I'm not sleeping on the wet spot!
Heehee, I think I'll stick to the doggy tales, I don't break out in hot sweats with those.
Part 5 just finished Brian.
:) Sexy Brian!
Steamy, indeed.
well I think nope I'm certain that you win the hopelessly romantic award..I'm gonna paste this to my husband's uniform you think that's too subtle? Absolutely beautiful image there at the end!
Wait, wait. I'm still figuring this out. Too late, it's all evaporated before my very eyes.
You are romantic!
who would have thought...the is a lil ice in your fire
Some like it hot...
"i am envious
of the drip
that slips slow
across your surface."
Hubba hubba Brian.
BRILLIANT!!!!
I heard someone once describe a rainy day as sexy, wet, and drippy.
This piece reminded me of that.
I love story in poem. Good job. Thanks! And, judging by your comment on my blog, I can see why ice cubes are an appealing subject right now. Sending you some cool . . .
i'm singing Nelly song in my head. it's getting hot in here!
My favorite line was about evaporating together...such a nice thought of love. Thanks for sharing:) Heartspell
WOW What a truly steamy romantic 55 this week. I love it. You are a brilliant writer :) Have a great weekend :)
ooh very nice!
Wow!
And who said chemistry class is boring.
Coll! You do such hot stuff with ice cubes. :) We're in the middle of a heat wave here, and I'm not sure this is helping to cool things off.
Man, those ice cubes are getting a lot of action.
Baby, it's hot outside ! And our icemaker is working overtime ;)
Gosh !!! thats it :D i loved it !
I've usually be tempted to suggest that you blog together with a picture, but this one certainly needs none...
Hi! Brian,
55 words-indeed!
and what a great use of 55 words.
Thanks, for sharing!
DeeDee ;-D
Oh my. Ice sure sounds nice right now...now where's my Engineer?...blushing...
Ah, I love this. Your wife is very lucky. :)
I love this one, perfect for summer too!
