nine
months ago,
i never wrote poetry,
until this kat came along,
scratchin' in my creativity,
at just the right time
to plant a
seed
that
grew
into
my
poet
tree.

It was about nine months ago that a blog friend challenged me to try my hand at poetry, in a comment she left on a post. There in lies the power of your words, as I have since been publish and recently started an online poetry community, One Stop, with several other artists. I guess I owe her quite a debt.
She has just recently released her first book, which I can not wait to read. Congratulations Poetikat and thank you for opening my eyes to poetry.

This reminds me of Ted Hughes creativity poem 'The Thought Fox'.
Only, its a kat here :)
Interesting that it is nine months ago. So you were carrying this within you for all that time!! With Kat's help...you gave "birth"!!
Kudos to her for her book!!
Kudos to you for allowing the birth to happen. Takes courage!!
Hugs
SueAnn
And my very sincere gratitude to her for you1
Yes, we are thankful that you took kat up on the challenge because we have all benefited from it. But I also think that it has unleashed a side to you that was always there, but you were just afraid to let it out, and for that we are very grateful to both you and kat. She for pushing that final button, and you for opening it up. Although I do kinda think that T has benefited from this more then anyone.
God bless.
Oh, I love the concrete form! How cool is that? Excellent!
Thanks so much for the boost. I knew there was a poet inside you and I'm glad I could draw it out.
Kat
That's so great. I'll drop by her blog now.
So we owe her a lot Mr. Masterpainter and emotion-capturer and nuance-feeler and tell a lot with few words master and....
Sometimes we just need a little push to do what is already there....
thats so nice...never knew you were new to poetry :)
wishes,
devika
Wow, you've only been doing this 9 months? I bet your soul has been writing poems for much, much longer...you seem born to it.
I don't always comment, but I always read. You are very talented, and yours is one of my favourite blogs.

Well Kat must be really honored she helped create such an awesome poet. The seeds were there. it was just having the courage to water them, thus give it a try... and succeed!
I love how your words make a tree. My goodness Brian, you have such a gift for writing. Blessings to you dear one.
