That was great Brian... always keeping it interesting! I know it's good to know whats happening in the world but I don't like watching the evening news...soo depressing!

That is very funny! I don't watch the news, and that keeps me out of trees. ;)

Peace!

I had to take my time and read this one. :)

I hardly watch the news, even the weather channel is becoming as depressing.

Blessings to you Brian!

Nessa said...

News is bad for you, definitely. I prefer being ignorant.

Brian Miller said...

yeah, having a bit of fun with you today...pauline, we have not had cable or satelite in about 3 years...we do keep a small TV for movies but we can regulate that....had some good chuckles at the comments so far...thanks for playing along...

Birdie said...

blaming that on my English, I couldn't understand Brian ... the comments of others were a good translator ;-)
I haven't watched since my son was born, not a single time. I can see the difference it makes in my live. It's like removing toxins from your body, in this case your mind ( and I was never a big tv watcher anyway).

sheri... said...

...too funny, brian! you're 'all that and a bagga chips'!!

When I was a kid, he evening news was a staple at our house. It really was an event. Now, I haven't watched the evening news in years. Too depressing. Now I skim the online headlines at cnn a couple of times each day and pick and choose what I want to be depressed by. Have a good one.

You can get the news 24/7 these days- newspapers are going out of business...

TechnoBabe said...

I can just hear the accent in this one. Of course, being a non TV person like you, I don't advocate watching any television. Ever. How to explain to others how much better life is without the television. How to explain how much more time we have together as a couple. How to explain how the sounds in our home are invited by us or initiated by us. Not the droning of people spewing their views and commercials made for the sold purpose to get people to feel like less than they are the need to buy more so they won't be less than others. The best thing I ever did was sell my plasma TV and get a life.

Sounds like the conversation I overheard at a roadside cafe in the mountains the other night with the TV overhead "rotun mah brainz.

hhaaaa Brian....loved this one!
I remember when I was little and my parents insisted (the NERVE!) on always watching the evening news when I wanted to watch I Love Lucy or another sitcom. I was always so disgusted over that....
Now?
We do the same thing...we always watch the news , every night at the same time. ha

It wouldn't be so terrible if at least half the news was good!

You pack a lot of character into 160 of them, Brian.

f82bfat said...

I hate watching the news, so bloody ; it's a continuous horror movie.well done brian.wordwand

drybottomgirl said...

Nice vernacular, I had to read it out loud for it to make sense! I rarely watch the news, a little weather channel here and there to catch the forecast, but I came to the conclusion long ago that I have no control over the universe, and to often I felt depressed after watching it, so I gave it up...I guess at times "no news is good news"....

Alice Audrey said...

The thing I hate about TV is that even if you do actually have a response to it, you can't do anything with it.

Wow!Brian everyday you have something great for your readers.I'd to read a couple of times to understand this. I don't think I've watched news since I've come to the US. I keep myself updated with all the current happenings through the net.
Thank you for visiting my blog. Oh yea, we'd a wonderful time at a water theme park and at Devil's park, the one that I've mentioned on my blog.
