sippin' on cherry coke

sitting
in the red corner booth
at the diner
sipping my cherry coke,
only tasting you;
seductive & sweet
with a little bite
in a sweaty glass,
popping and fizzing,
and tickling my nose.

if you said
DRINK ME
i'd savor every drop,
run my tongue
across my lips,
just to be sure,
then head on over to
the refrigerator
to grab some more.

have you decided what you want to eat?

no, here. keep the change. i just might make it home in time for dessert.

Sweet! Your life is one very lucky woman. And you are lucky that she is willing to have all these odes of love about her posted on the web. Well ... I am assuming they are about her ...

I remember the first time I ever tasted Cherry Coke, I thought it was the best soda in the world. I remember telling my mom this, and she looked at me like I was nuts and then said, "Cherry Coke has been around forever, we drank it all the time at the drive ins during the 50's". But to every generation they like to think they discovered it first.

Hi Brian:)

I envy you for having the sizzling cherry coke. Your lovely writing makes my mouth water.

In India coke has not introduced the cherry coke. Thinking of it makes me feel more thirsty:)

I remember when I was young I used to drink coke many times during the day. But later on Coke had to go out of India because they were not willing to toe the Indian government line. After many years,Coke came back again to India and is quite popular now. But then Pepsi is breathing down its neck.

It will be interesting to note that the CEO of Pepsi for their world wide operation is a lady from India. Her name is Indira Nooyi.

Best wishes Brian:)
Joseph
