What can you say in 160 characters? Go see Monkey Man.

(ok, so here it is forward. you get the point.)

this is how it feels,
when you
smile & nod,
as i lay tattered pieces
of my heart on the table,
then ask me what's for dinner.

i think i may have gotten too artsy for my own good with this one...those that see it in reader may think i have lost it...

Wow! That was a very novel way of presenting it. For a minute I thought you had a post in some Arabic or hieroglyphic script!

I don't get it,

I will quit guessing....
Happy Sunday!
glad to see your foreign language skills shine!
Take good care.

At first I thought maybe you were bilingual, but I caught on quick enough :) Very creative...sometimes I feel like I must be talking backwards when trying to get through to someone! great 160

Kulio said...

ah...nice! I totally get it, not too artsy :-)

Very cool, Brian. I wouldn't have put the second version, though. It works so much better in reverse. ('Course, I'm kind of a visual person.)

Oops, my absent mind.
I see what you do,
backward writing...
naughty you.

I'm the guy who laboriously read it backwards, before I discovered your transpositioning repeat

But I "got it" both times. Lots of rennid FOOD for thought. And I am guilty--again!

Love it! And I know exactly how that feels... smile...

I am glad you put in the last part or I would have been thinking all day that maybe Brian was hitting the sauce last night. Once I caught on it was all good and so true. take care.

Been there myself, many a time... it leaves an empty feeling in your gut. Powerful stuff, that.

(And yes, I read the whole thing backward without the translation... because I'm used to reading little kid writing!)

Well they say reading & writing backwards is a good brain gym exercise... So thanks for the workout Brian.
I can relate to the content of your 160 Brian & I think that most of us would have experienced a version of this at sometime or another...it's the human condition!

I like steveroni had guessed to read it backwards before I scrolled down. Some of just like to make life more difficult. Great job in understanding how we sometimes feel about being under appreciated.

Nothing like bearing your soul to someone only to have them fluff it off as not important. Not worth commenting on! I hate when that happens.
And for the record...I didn't think you had lost it. And it was very creative.
I felt it was a metaphor for what you where writing.
As you share your heart...the other person acts like you are speaking a foreign language. Quite frustrating.
Hugs

Good morning, Brian:

I read the comment above me, it seems like someone holding strong opinion against another person.

I am sorry for being careless yesterday.

I reread your 160 many times,
You have been very honest, caring, and creative.

I guess my intelligence cannot match the ordinary or general audience here.

I promise to observe more, write less.
Happy Monday!
