silly

one day, i saw a polar bear in town.
it was lost.
i said, i am silly.
i called my penguin, Pingy!
he is silly too.
i love him, silly.
silly.
silly.

Logan, my oldest (7), wrote this. He has the stomach flu right now, which is making for wonderful nights of nastiness. Thought it might make him feel a bit better to share his story today.

On top of that, we are supposed to be clobbered by snow today. Which means I won't be around much if I can't get out of the house to somewhere that has internet. Will catch back up with you on Sunday.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Sending Logan lots of well wishes and happy tummy vibes and enough silliness to get him through the stomach flu and beyond.

Stay safe!

Silly is adorable.
Stomach flu deplorable!

Hope it disappears quickly. NOT a good combo to be snowed in WITH the flu!

Lovely silly, I guess the boy takes after his dad.;)
I hope he gets better soon.
Enjoy the snow, *sans internet*, it is good to be disconnected once in a while.;)
Have a lovely weekend.

I hope that Logan is on the mend and feeling tip-top very soon.

Clearly, he's inherited his Dad's poet genes, taking us from the north pole to the south pole in just 8 lines. :)

I love being snowed in..We haven't had much in Vancouver this year.Which of course is ironic given we are hosting the 2010 Olympic games.

Hope you and fam will enjoy the quiet time with some creativity:)

i love polar bears, too. my first toy ever was a white teddy bear with blue paws. maybe this is why i'm so crazy about snow and the Arctic n' all. tell Logan, i'm STILL silly 4 decades later, it's a great way to be. and it helps you get better from the stomach flu better n' anything! (my mum also used to give me hot milk with a tsp or two of sugar and a bit of black pepper on top to settle my tummy. she was pretty silly herself). hope Logan is feeling better. p.s. SEND ME YOUR SNOW

Hi Brian:)

Greetings to you and your family:)

I amazed at the capability of your son to write poetry. He is no doubt a budding poet.

I hope he will get well soon.

Living conditions must be quite tough with all that snow lying around. It is tough living conditions which makes tough mentally and physically tough. Here we don't have snow at any time of the year.We have a moderate climate and we lead an easy, lethargic life.

Wish you all the best Brian:)
