Static...

If you are reading this then it has happened...

Began yesterday...

precariously made my way home, fearing capture less than the thought of what could be worse...

home now...

under siege...

already communications have been cut off...

no Internet until we can reach the outside world again...

forces are amassing for a final reckoning...

Cryptologist Analysis: received 14 inches of snow in the last 15 hours. Supposed to snow the rest of the day. No Internet at house, so will catch up when we dig out. Snowball fight to ensue.

I have been browsing through your posts. You are a very talented writer! I've seen your comments on other people's blogs, but this is the first time I have visited. I'm sure I will be back.

wow. i'm actually envious. when i was a little girl my brothers and sisters and i would build forts and ice them over in the backyard, big enough to crawl and hide in - one at each end of the garden and we'd amass our weaponry in little snowy balls within each fort, popping our heads out of them just enough to aim and throw at "the enemy" down the yard. fun fun FUN! i think it's wonderful to be snowed in - ENJOY it!

OMG The isolation! Can I come over! I love isolation! haha. Happy shoveling.

My first thought was.. "oh no!" But then I realized it can only mean more family time. Enjoy it. :)

I am watching your dilemma on the news! We get snow like that all during the winter up here, but the infrastructure is built to handle it. ha
I feel your pain about no computer/internet...my main computer is in the shop and I am praying I didn't lose a bunch of my photography with it!! I have my photos on that one and not all were backed up yet. YIKES! I am using my laptop to communicate with the world, so I hope we are both back to normal soon! Hang in there!

Keep warm, Brian! Try to enjoy it.

Enjoy the snowy break! It's a beautiful excuse to relax - inbetween shoveling and snowball fights, of course.

Oh goodness! Funny post! We had 12 inches + blizzard conditions for several days last week. (by Omaha Ne) and in a way, I kind of like to be snowed it. We made soup, decorated some more for Christmas, played games, ate more meals together. Hope this is an uneventful storm for you!

And this is why Her Majesty lives in TEXAS. It has not been verified by a medical professional, but I do watch shows with people who play them. I am allergic, deathly allergic to SNOW! I feel bad for my wee little Macs when they pray for Satan's Dandruff, because I want them to be happy, but I pray even harder that it NEVER happens. How do you live isolated WITHOUT the Internet. Please don't tell me your cable is out, too! Hang in there and be brave! :) Lisa

We are not getting your storm up here - looks like quite a blizzard. A children's (and dad's) wonderland. Enjoy! Hope snow is sticky enough for a big snowman.

Ahh enjoy it. We all seem to be getting snow at the same time. Could it be some kind of reaction to Copenhagen?

Please, whatever you do, do not consume the yellowish particulate. Over and out ...

I am jealous, I grew up in upstate New York, and I live in New Orleans now. I miss the days where it would snow until you couldn't see anything and you had no choice but to go outside and build snow forts and igloos.

I can't believe I knew you were talking about the snow. I'm so usually not onboard with your incredible insightful imaginative and artistic expressions. Takes me a while. Sometimes I need help by reading the comments of your smart Followers. But sooner or later, I get it.

Yay for moi.

We've gotten about the same amount of snow here, too - still snowing and have had intermittent internet. I've shoveled so much snow today I'm going to sleep like a log tonight! :)

Hope you get reconnected soon! But not until after you've had more than enough snow ball fights... ;)

Hi Brian:)

I am one of those who is scared of snow. We never have snow here. But we have other man made problems and internet goes out of order quite often.

At present I am listening to Jim Reeves song-
EVERY WHERE YOU GO SUNSHINE FOLLOWS YOU,
EVERY WHERE YOU GO THE SKIES ARE ALWAYS BLUE,
AND THE WHOLE WORLD SAYS "HELLO"

How ironical isn't it at a time of the year like this in your part of the world. In the place where I live this song is perfectly true.

I hope you will best make use of the time with your family. I hope the snow will clear before Christmas so that your can have lovely celebrations.

I know without internet you are like a fish out of water but I think God wants you to take some rest with your family at this time of the year when the whole world celebrates the birth of our Savior.

I take this opportunity to wish you and your wonderful family a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR:)
Joseph

You really got a bunch of snow! We only got about 3 inches and it melted pretty quickly. My brother lives in VA and still doesn't have electricity. He has been without water for the last 4 days, too.
