snow puts me in the mood,
her whisper rides the shivers
it creates down my neck.
pulling her close,
I breathe heavily me too
hands slide to her pillows
we sleep.
what can you say in 160 characters? Go see Monkey Man.
Note: Snow ended somewhere around 16-18 inches, with some drifts up to two and a half feet. We are dug out, if the snow plow would just stop refilling the drive way. Its amazing how much a little shoveling, snow ball fighting and castle building will take out of you. Sleep well.

It puts me in the mood as well...
Nice job!
Mmm... me too, please! A lovely 160.
I like the part about the hands on the pillow.
160 characters?
Excellent job.
Rain does the same to me.
Her pillows??? You know how I am going to take that, don't you? lol!
I know, I was so surprised at how much work the snow plows caused me at the end of the driveway, they kept putting piles of snow there as the cleared the streets!! Hah. Keep hugging each other.
Well, evidently, you can say a lot! :)
proof it's not how much you say but how well you say it!
Now, if only I could get someone to fluff my pillows for me! Glad you managed to dig yourself out... just in time for the snow plow!
I'm gonna work on one of these for next week. Is it always on sundays?
That's the best part of being snowed in. Nothin' else to do...especially if the power goes out.
You guys sure got slammed by Sven. Holy Moley!
i thought you were going in another direction with this post til the last 2 words...
we had 2 feet of snow. it took hours to shovel out the cars.
Hi! Brian,
Nice 160 characters...
Brian said,"Snow ended somewhere around 16-18 inches, with some drifts up to two and a half feet. We are dug out, if the snow plow would just stop refilling the drive way...
...all I can say is...Wow!
Brian,
Happy Holiday!
To you and your
Family.
Take care!
DeeDee ;-D
Hmm, is that why hubby was so amorous this am? Very nice.
Nice Brian! We got about a foot less than you, I suppose. But since it stays so cold, we will be having a white Christmas here!
I wonder where this would have gone if you hadn't run out of 160.
Ah, where all thoughts disappear!
I know what you mean about the snow plow. They used to plow our road and the snow pile at the end of the driveway was massive. They don't bother anymore and I don't miss the mess at the end of the driveway.
Stay warm and sleep well!
Smiles!
I love the way you write. I am never disappointed when I come here. I feel like I am Blog Buddies with a famous writer. Never stop posting. :) Lisa
very nicely done/
I cant say anything in less than 160 characters
How many is this?
That puts me in the mood too.
Got any free time tomorrow? ;)
Nicely done!
Ahhh. Drifting snow. I know it's dangerous, but I love it.
Pearl
A great muse in 160 characters. Few take the challenge and even fewer do as well as you. thanks, Brian. Stay warm.
Here in Maine we locked out-ended up with about an inch.
i'm giggling because in your last S.O.S. post, i'd been tempted to write a warning about what being snowed in can lead to - the reason why so many babies are born 9 months after a blackout or blizzard! since winter is the season i always fall in love, snow definitely puts me in the mood. for now, i guess i'll have to go roll in the snow. the equivalent of a cold shower. LOL thanks for the giggle, Brian.
I'm way too verbose for 160 characters.
Now, what pillows we talkin' about here?
I second Monkey Man, and your comment, it's good to smile.
because, LITSNT!
life is too short not to.
Hope mom is doing well, I'll write a 160 about mine soon.
Nicely done. I don't think I can even post a comment in under 160 characters. Wait I think I just did.
Excellent! Oh yes, shoveling, snowball fighting and castle building take a lot out of you!
what can be better than snuggling when snow in... oh yeah, them snowball fights, hee hee heeee
Shoveling snow is the worst thing I know, it kills your back. I have once shoveled for an hour and could not walk for a week.
Your poem is as always so very romantic. Makes me miss my man...
;)
Zuzana
short and sweet ...storm :)
TYou are great at numbers!
I love it!
Thanks for your comment on my blog today!
Hope you have a great week with your family!
That was really nice, here too it is covered of snow.
I get too hot in bed to cuddle for long, it has to be quick...
candie, i hear you. we just had a lady rescued that had been trapped in her car the last 30 hours...crazy.
So far so good, we've had little snow here in Toronto.
No snow angels, no snowball fights, but no snow plows refilling the drive either.
Steeeeam-eee!! In the most lovely way. Elegant steam.
Loved your 160!! Sounds like you are enjoying the snow! LOL!
Merry Christmas
SueAnn
In my world everything shriv...errr shrinks in the cold.
If you were a 98 lb weakling like me, you would never have to shovel snow again! Vive la difference.
this was sexy ... very well done!
so utterly beautiful... and sexy!
Just simply beautiful, volumeful 160.
Snow is mystical! But just too cold!
This is perfect!
Rides the shivers down my neck.... :-) very nice.
Snuggled up inside when it's cold outside is fabulous! :)
Perfect 160.
Brian, we get that kind of snow all the time up here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan..I swear everytime we get over a foot of snow, the people here think it is time to party and you will see more people out and about then when we get less than a foot at a time....it is like social hour outside as everyone snow blows their driveways, etc. It is a way of life up here.
Today is just magical...we had another 4 inches and the sun is out lighting up the snowflakes like crystals....I need to take some more pictures, but dang the shop still has my computer...oh, well, I will post them sometime later this month!
As always, really cool post. I love it. Happy Holidays
We haven't got that much snow, thank God..Good Luck!
Whew... its hot in here! :)
The Bach
I second Tori.
Merry X'mas to you and your family.
You sleep?! LoL! ;)
We only got 12 inches, but schools are closed for the rest of the calendar year.
I think it puts all of us in the moode. Thanks for stopping by Brian I appreciate your comments.
Merry Christmas to YOU & Your FAMILY
Larry.
I love snow if I don't have to be somewhere or drive in it.
We got 20 inches of snow and I completely understand the snow plows dumping the snow back into the driveway - very frustrating.
ok I promise I won't complain on my blog for shovelling the 10 cm of walkway on our 4 m wide house facade.
You win :)
I am tired of reading about everyone's snow. Why can't I get any. I wouldn't sleep if I did because it would be another several years before I got any more.
I really miss the snow. Your poem is awesome. Monkey Man's really cool by the way.
Those snow plows really can put a "damper' on the driveway huh?
Loved this one. . .
I think I need to snuggle my hot water bottle then.
Well, that is a lot of inches!
Ohhhhh la la...the blankets are coming off now. ;)
Brian! I laugh as when we used to live inside city limits it used to INFURIATE Hubbie how the snow plow would BURY the end of the drive after he had painstakingly cleared it!!
Now that we are in the countryside we are lucky to get a plow down our little side road!
You are so amazing with creating poetry with limitations such as 160 characters. I've never been very successful with that. I must say I'm very envious. :-)
We usually just wait for it to melt. It never sticks around too long.
Wow that is a whole lot of snow...I see it didn't sap all your energy!!!
snow makes you want to snuggle,
very fun read.
beautiful job!
Now, I can't wait for snow!
Loved this!
