My boy

Bear in Lake

In the Artist own words: Beauty is the mist of the waterfall rising into a rainbow.

Logan took home second place in the Reflections contest at school this year. A little misdirection as that is the bear hiding behind the tree.

It seems second place is even more exciting than first place.
smiles.
Have a great weekend everyone!

It looks like he inherited your poetic abilities in describing his painting. very sweet!

Yes, yes... but the bear could also be tangled in the rainbow, or swimming in the waterfall and who would we be to say differently.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, Brian. A budding artist with the soul of an ancient.

Bravo. Well done.

And congratulations!

Hi Brian:)

My hearty congratulation to Logan for winning the second prize. This is only a stepping stone for bigger things to come. I am sure your heart swelled with pride. A proud father of a victorious son. He will surely climb greater heights of achievement and make you and your wife very proud.

I am sure there will be celebrations:)

Wish you and your family wonderful weekend full of fun and laughter and good times:)

Wait a minute. . .Is the artist your SON? Is that what the award is for? I thought the painting was done by an adult. Brian - I'm the daughter of a well-known artist (local) and I do picture framing for a living. Tell me that your KID did NOT say "beauty is the mist of the waterfall rising into a rainbow". Or that he painted that??? If that's the case - that is SCARY GOOD. And both the certicate, art and photo need to be framed.

That was lovely.
Yes..... he takes after you! Watch that space!

Point of view is important! In chili contests, if I get second or third I don't say that..I tell people I beat 24 of the contestants that day! Sounds better, doesn't it? Congrats to your son for winning out over all that competition!
