Why do you love me?
I love you for your...
Twinkling eyes
Warm embrace
Knowing smile
Enraptured chase
Tender heart
Soft caress
Coffee confessions
Skin tight dress
Unchained passion
Unending faith
Magical moments
Dancing grace
Kindred soul
Taken chance
Beautiful compassion
Burning romance
Eternal friend
All of these,
None of these.
Love doesn't need a reason,
for what happens when that reason is gone?

This was such a joy to read! I agree, it doesn't need a reason. When a friend of mine and myself start a little argument about nonsense, we always conclude that we don't need a reason to be with each other- we simply just want to!

Fun! I can think of a million reasons why I love my family, my students, my teachers, my friends.
I love your writing, too. Just because.
Hmmm, good thought.
Are you publishing these? They are THAT good.
I think all these reasons will stand the test of time...well, maybe not the skin tight dress, but the rest will! LOL!

Your wife is a lucky woman. My husband loves me because...... That's it, because. Because why? His answer is "You know, because" A man of few words, this man that I love for so many reasons other than because.
Love just is. I enjoyed reading your definitions.
Love this one too!!!
I think I am addicted to your writing! Is there a program for that? Wish I had a book of your poetry and stories.

And yes, love doesn't need a reason, although I think we all have unconciously some reasons like your beautiful list. Don't we?
Can't put my finger on it, but this stanza pops out:
"Tender heart

I didn't know you wrote poetry! Your wife is a lucky woman. I like the "coffee confessions" the best. That phrase has a lot packed into it.
Lovely poetry and such a thought-provoking sentence at the end.

My Travelogue, Savoir-Faire
Beautifull text!
The reason can never be gone because the real why of loving someone it is because the person is the person it is and no other, and no different from itself. So that could never change
yeah - its beyond the rational!
Cool, I'll have to check those people out. Thanks for the tip. I'm always in the mood to read some good verse.
beautiful.
that was great
Wonderful as always:)
Blessed are the eyes of the beholder who loves.. for in such beholding resides a million flattering reflections.. To the true beholder, thus, do they fade, or are they too deeply entrenched in their soulful abyss?!
What an absolutely delightful verse.. Was a great read!
Btw.. I think the Saturday before last was your B'Day.. Sorry for such a late response, but wish you a "Happy Belated Birthday"!
sexy, passionate and beautiful.
Awesome! Lucky Lady :)
Beautiful! You have a wonderful loving relationship. Maybe, you could frame this as a gift to her.
That was absolutely beautiful! Thanks for the smile... :)
Wonderful message!
You are so right.
It is what it is.
Don't try to figure it out.
Just relish in it, every single moment of it.
Sometimes I glance over at my husband and my heart stops a beat still.
We are going on 38 years of marriage and 41 years of knowing one another.
Love is such a mystery...that is what makes it so wonderful, isn't it?
Nice poem!! Your every word is quite different and meaningful. I love this writing very well. Love my family, love limo. Thanks :)
