Before the day begins, the Krispy Kreme Christmas Elves are sprinkling their glazed goodness across the county. Surprising good teachers and faculty across the area. This morning, the Waters Edge staff delivered fresh Krispy Kreme donuts to 14 local schools and the School Board office. Just our way of saying thank you for the impact they have on our future. It was fun to see peoples eyes light up at the sight of the boxes. It only got better when they realised it was for them.
At Bethel Manor, a little girl held the door for me into the school, then into the office and then asked me all kinds of questions. I think she wanted the Krispy Kreme elves to visit her this Christmas too!
Was there a teacher that really changed your life?

I love being part of a church that thinks about giving back and reaching out and then follows through. It is so wonderful to see a consistent and positive spirit that does not give into boredom and complacency. You guys rock (even though I prefer Dunkin Donuts).
My two teachers were...Ms. Callahan, English teacher at LBHS...and of course, my mom, who I never had, but watched.
My mom was my teacher in school and in life. Don't even want to think where I would be without her. There was also Miss Galloway, my 5th grade teacher. I was a horrible student that year and often decided not to do my homework. At a parent conference, after getting an F on my report card for math, she listed all of my missing assignments. My mom asked why I wasn't writing anything down so I could make them up. I looked to Miss Galloway to give the explanation but she gave me the look that said it was all up to me to explain. I had to tell my mom that I was not allowed to and the grade I got was the grade I got. Miss G taught me responsibility at the risk of not being liked. Not only do I like her, I love that lady.
My favorite teacher is the one who taught me piano. Not only did she bring out a talent within me, but that talent got passed on to my sons and who knows where it will go from there. Her name Florence Mason-she was the one who also led me to the Lord. I raise my Krispy Kreme in her honor.
I had the honor of having our mother as a teacher and by far she was the best I ever had. She knew how to challenge you to the point that you didn't think you could get to and then she would give you the skills to get there and she always believed in her students.
There were countless others at each level that touched my life including Ms. Callahan.
